Position Overview:
Assignments and activities are focused around hand fabrication, which may range from manning work stations for the EPL, to making hand-assembled MEAs
Primary and secondary duties are explained below; however, incumbent will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Primary Job Functions:
oResponsible for materials inventory and acquisition for all hand-fabricated and EPL products
oResponsible for the development of new or improved processes and products
oAssist in training of co-workers and students
oSupport Manufacturing team
oOperate state-of-the-art automation equipment
oPerform inspection and quality control functions
oClean and perform preventive maintenance on automation systems
oPerform housekeeping functions on facilities
oComply with corporate safety procedures and guidelines
oLoad raw materials into automation equipment
oInspection and packaging of finished products
oInput data to quality and production control system
oPerform tooling changeover under the supervision of the supervisor or shift leader
oConsistently fabricate sub components through various manual and machine operations and assemble subcomponents to within customer specifications at a reasonable pace
oContribute by making suggestions and recommendations for process/production improvement
oPerform as a "safety" champion in all job responsibilities
oWhen fabricating low run or custom lots of MEAs, an ability to understand the customer's final desired product and ensuring fabrication processes lead to final customer specification
Secondary Job Functions:
oWork with Sales team in assessing feasibility of customer's hand-fabricated MEAs
oWork with Development team in fabricating test MEAs for QC and development of new products
All functions must be performed in a safe manner and in cpompliance with all procedures and regulatory requirements. Incumbents will be expected to wear appropriate PPE as defined by a Standard Operation Procedure (SOP).

Minimum Requirements
oHigh School Diploma or GED.
oGood communication skills with the ability to interact with all team members and Site management.
oTeam player with demonstrated ability to work as member of high performance team.
oAbility to multi-task and monitor/control a number of different activities simultaneously.
oAbility and willingness to work shifts, overtime and weekends as required
oExperience with instruments of measure (ie: micrometers, calipers etc.)
oAbility to clean and perform preventative maintenance on automation systems
oKnowledge and understanding of quality control functions
oGood problem solving skills with the ability to overcome obstacles that form an obstruction to meeting customer or internmal customer deadlines
Physical Requirements:
oStrong hand-eye coordination with feel for machine tolerances and using various presses, cutters, and hand tools for assembly
oAbility to handle/manage RCRA wstes while performing their job duties
oAbility to wear PPE as directed by the SOP
oAbility to lift up to 40 lbs
oAbility to use step ladder
Preferred skills:
o1-2 years experience in the manufacturing environment
oExperience with Excel and Auto-Cad
